This is a real treat. A top class game against outstanding opposition for which we need a good side.
I am attaching a note from Bob Mayston who is managing the game.
It is against St James Montefiore on July 22 all day. They have one Test player and three pros so we really need our best players out. I will be phoning around later on.

The game on the 22nd is our first ever fixture with St James Montefiore.
We have been invited to play them on the opening day of their Cricket Week. A couple of the St James players have played for the Stoics over the last three years and they have encouraged the club to put up a good side.
Their club captain whom I have played cricket with for several years is Michael Murray ( son of Derek Murray – West Indian Keeper). Thus their WI connection is huge.
I have learned that in the side they have Dwayne Smith and Brian Lara’s nephew, who is reported to be useful, along with two Sussex players and of course their WI opening bowler Anthony Alexander who opened for us at Hove.
We should make every effort to put out the best side that we can muster, in particular we require a first rate bowling attack and needless to say quality batting.
If anyone who can or knows of any Stoics that would like to be there please let me know. I am putting the side together as of now.
